Hi, in NS 7.2 mail I'd like it to default to my addess book not the personal address book. Can this be done?

If the default mean that you want to add to an address book other that Personal, it is no problem. Look at your Preferences|Mail and News|Addressing. There is a drop down that you can select the address book as an alternate.

    Please see:

    ALL about addressbooks

There has been a great many changes in how NS/Mozilla/Thunderbird handles display of addressbooks - the site covers MOST, but not all. READ IT ALL

BACK UP YOUR PROFILE BEFORE YOU EDIT ANY FILE - MAKE SURE THAT PROGRAM IS FULLY CLOSED (ALL INSTANCES - INCLUDING QUICK LAUNCH)

    BimmerGuy,

By "my Address Book" are you referring to the Windows Address Book?

Your "all about address books" did not come up as a link.
I am not sure what is the question, nor do I understand the other answers.
Just for the record, I understood that he meant to save in an address book other than the "Personal Address Book ", but, in second thought, it may not mean that at all. For autocompletion, any local address books will do. Otherwise Ramona's question is quite legitimate.

Can you share with us how? There were a few guesses about what you meant, and we still don't a clue. It may help other people.

I had all my addresses in another book. I wanted them in NS default address book.(personal address book) I highlighted all addresses in my other book book and dragged them into the default address book.(personal address book) Then deleted my own book. It moved over fine. Sorry if it sounds silly. Just hard to explain this task.

I was trying to make the point that it was not necessary to do what you did, by selecting what you said you did. In fact, I use the Personal Address Book only to collect addresses, and, I periodically move them where they belong (moving does not, actually work). I have to delete the original card after it is copied in the other address books.
