I have just downloaded Microsoft NET Framework 3.5 on my desktop. It took forever due to slow internet connection.

Where can I find it on my desktop so that I can copy and then install it on my laptop?

    I am using Windows XP

When you downloaded the file did you select Save or Run?

If you selected Save, which I am doubting, the file is clearly where you saved it, but if you selected Run the file will have been downloaded to a temporary file which may or may not have been deleted when the installation finished.

Your best bet is to look in the temp folder ....

    Start > Run > type in %temp% > Enter

If the file is there it will probably be in a folder characterised by a string of letters & numbers rather than a folder named .NET.
