I am a widow and "technology challenged ". My computer died and I want to know how I can access my email on my husband's computer. We both use Windows Live Mail and have Windows 7. I thought we were using Outlook but I can find no documentation that shows this. All I see is Windows Live Mail. My file data was backed up on an external drive but I assume this will not pertain to email. The email I am using now is my husband's email address. Thanks for your help.

Did you have an WLM account on your PC before it died? If so, you can go to your husbands WLM and add an account with your information and you will now get your e-mails in a separate account from his. Or you could go straight to the e-mail provider (probably your ISP) and log in there and get your mail.

When you say your "file data" was backed up to an external drive, it is hard to say if your mail was also as we have no way of telling what was backed up. Did it do a total backup of your HD or just certain things?
