I presume the computer has two network adapters ( A NIC card and B NIC card). The A NIC card connects to the Internet and we use A NIC card to enable the ICS function. Other computer could through the B NIC card to connect to the Internet when other computer connects with B NIC card. If we use A NIC card to enable the ICS function, the windows will assign the default IP address (192.168.0.1) to B NIC card. I want to change the default IP address in the Windows XP system.Who has the experience to modify it? Could you give me the some suggestions to fix the problem? Thanks.

    Hi, Welcome to WindowsBBS.

Read this Microsoft article: How to Change the IP Range for the ICS DHCP Service

It says that it applies to Windows ME & Windows 98 SE, but it may also apply to XP's ICS.

I've never tried it after Windows 98SE. With todays prices of routers, I don't think ICS is a viable option.

No suggestions here. I've no ability to check on an XP system since I'm traveling with my (Vista x64) laptop.

I'd buy a cheap router and be done with it :)
