    I would like to know how to set the font and size of type in Windows Live Mail using Windows 7. I want to change them permanently.

    In WLM, go to Tools > Options > Compose Tab and click Font Settings.

    My Windows Live Mail in Windows 7 does not have a "tools ". Is your WLM different from mine?

    The Alt key toggles the Menu bar on/off or you can have it permanently displayed by pressing Alt+M then choose Show menu bar, where Tools is found.
