It's been a while since I was using WinME on a regular basis but as I remember it:

You can get a DOS prompt from within WinME (start > programs > accessories) but You can not restart the computer in DOS.

The only way to do it is by using a startup disk.

    Hi Ron,

If you don't have the startup floppy - to create: Add/Remove > startup disk tab.

That worked just fine. I now have upgraded the computer to Windows XP Pro.
