I have looked all over the web and all I can find is information about the content advisor, which while useful isnt quite enough. We keep having a few problems with two computer at one of the clients I work for, these are company computers that arent supposed to be used but for a few company websites and domains, approcimately 10. The owner told me she does not want them to be able to see any websites but those 10. Content advisor does not allow this, it allows you to block individual sites, but I need to block ALL sites but these 10. Anyone know of any way to do this, thanks for any help.

Name this file noaccess.rat, and make sure that it is a normal ASCII text file. Save this file into the following directory:

Question, a normal ASCII text file is encoded as ANSI correct?

This just dropped into my lap, i had been looking for a solution for this problem for some time. Thank you very much!

ANSI = ASCII? Well, yes, sometimes, even usually, maybe. Click

For the purposes of the rat file, yes. But if you do it up in notepad or edit or similar, it will be the right stuff.

tomxp--Did you actually try it on your WinXp PC and fail? The info in MSKB articles is not always accurate about which systems it applies to. If it works for NT and 2000, you would think the chances are good for XP.

tomxp--I do have relatives in Philadelphia, but their last name is not Welsh. There are however, lots of people of Welsh ancestry in Pennsylvania because of the mines. They immigrated in the 1800's.
P.S. I am surprised and disappointed to hear that an OEM version of XP is not the full deck. What do they call it? What version number is indicated in My Computer|Properties|General tab?
