Is there a way to adjust the hard disk's low free space indicator so that
it will display, or a message will pop up, when the free space
has reached a number that I can set myself?

    Hi Frank,

There is no option to change the percentage for the low space warnings on the computer; this is how Microsoft has designed it.

The only option you have is to completely switch off the notification.

Oh, as far as I know there is no pop-up in Windows 7 by default. The only 'warning' I get is the color of the free-space level indicator turning red.
