How to access System File Checker (SFC)

I just purchased a computer with Windows XP Pre-installed. I would just like to ask a general question.

I notice that there is file's for SFC. But how do you access this program?

Do this, go to START > RUN and type SFC in the field and press enter.

 

michael--Some one told me that SFC was not included in WIN XP. Glad to hear it still is there!!
I suggest you do a little reading about SFC before using it. SFC can be very helpful, but can also cause a lot of hassle if the results are misinterpreted.
