Resolved How reliable is Paragon System 11?

I have found one or two hiccup errors in the software. I have tried several on line addresses for help with no response to any. Can anyone help with a contact?

Thank you for contact detail. I originally contacted this address some time ago, answering printed questions - still awaiting a response. Ignoring error captions, software appears to be working, however not to comfortable in trying out saved backups until absolutely necessary.

 

To test, restore to a blank hard drive.

 

System 11 appears not work in this way as you have no choice of hard drive, only told to restart computer after clicking on Restore.

 

Power the system down, connect the new hard drive in the current hard drive's place and then boot from your 'system 11' restore DVD.

 

I am unsure as to what you refer too, I have no DVD. If you refer to System 11 it is on line download from Paragon.

 

Errors incurred are ;

"Snap shot could not be taken out of space. "
Hard drive is 1TB capacity, only used for backups.

"Unfortunately, we failed to install the recovery environment. "

"The request could not be because of an I/O device error. "

 

Did you follow their instructions for creating a bootable disc or flash drive?

 

Instructions are not available with download software, or at least I can not see any other than "Why should I back up my computer ". and "Learn more about snapshots ". Lack of help for after sales makes this software not user friendly.

I have now made a Paragon recovery DVD-RW, is this to be used when required to make a restore when computer is down? Is this procedure required to be carried out once only?

 

Start on page 19, the "Restoring System ..." section in your Paragon System Backup 11 Manual.

 

Thanks to all. Is System 11 a good software title for backups, certainly easier than Acronis this title did give me horrendous headache.
