How not to play DVD automatically in Windows Media Player 8

I have windows media player 8 which automatically begins playing DVD movie when one disc is inserted in the DVDrom. However, since my DVD movies are not all from one region, some of the DVD's cannot be decoded by WMP8 (but I have other DVD playing software which could do the work). So, what I want is to disable the automatic playing feature of WMP8. To my astonishment, I can find no DVD file option in the options->file types menu. Anyone has any idea how I could resolve this issue? Thanks.
