Normally to get my email, I have to click on the Send/Receive and then the email comes in along with the audible/notification in the bottom window.

How can I set OE6 so the incoming comes in automatically and I can immediately see the notification/audible in the notification area?

    Hi robls99

Check Tools->Options ensure the General Tab is highlighted and tick "Check for new messages every (insert appropriate figure here) minutes.

    wildfire,

I set it to 1min and sent myself a message.

After 10min, nothing showed up so I opened OE and that message and 1 other immediately popped in with the audible sound.

    Any more ideas?

Can you clarify opened? Did you close OE after sending the test email (obviously OE has to be running to send/receive emails).

OE must be open to Send/Receive. There is no way that OE will receive messages if it is not running :)

When I used OE and now Outlook I have it on a delayed start through WinPatrol to open 30 secs after boot and it then stays running until the computer is turned off.

You mean Open really means Open (ie leave open).

    Thanks, I got it.
