If I was to do a disk clean up and use the function for deleting all but the most recent restore points, how far back does it delete them from. Half of what is in the restore files is deleted? 3/4? 1/5th?

Part of it depends on the size of your hard drive and how much has to be stored.

How far back is ok with you?

You can open the Restore function and see how many are there etc..

I have a 500GB reserving 10 GB for system restore. I've only had this new computer running since July 11th and the system restore goes back to the 16th.

I'm installing alot of programs right now so I'm not going to mess with it just yet. I was just curios what the most recent really means.

When the assigned disk space for System Restore is exceeded the oldest Restore Point is removed.

Yes I did realize that. I was curious about how much of that 10 GB would be removed with a disk clean up. Thanks.
