    I set different folders to different viewing details, such as thumbnails, tiles etc, then when I go in next they are all back to normal. :mad:

    Open any folder, then go to Tools>Folder Options>View tab, scroll down and make sure that "Remember each folder's view settings" is checked.

    Run--> regedt32
    Back up these registry keys (if you like):

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags

    Delete them.

    A complement solution is to increase the number of slots used. To do this:

    Under the Registry Key
    [HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\]

    Create a new DWORD Value called "BagMRU Size" and set it to whatever number
    of slots you want (4000 decimal is good). Remember to select the Base "decimal" when changing the value because it's easy to forget and enter it as hexadecimal thus getting
    an actual number that's somewhat bigger.

    Restart Windows and set your folders as you want.
