I am ready to take the plunge and change the Bios on my MOBO soon. I D/L the correct upgrade and utility for it and have the following questions:

    1. How do I record my current CMOS settings before I do this?

    2. The instructions say "create a "bootable" floppy and put the Bios upgrade and utility on itâ€. What makes it "bootable "? I tried to create a disk following instructions by going to DOS and typing "format a:/u/s" and got "bad command or file name "...

    1. Write them down, or photograph the screen. If using a SLR camera to do this, I recommend 1/30 shutter speed.

Just use this dos command to make a bootable floppy.
