I've just gotten a new computer at work, a Dell Optiplex GX260 running Windows XP Professional. Some of the sounds it uses with my software are different from what I'm accustomed to. I went into Change Settings/Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices. I can see what file is associated with what action, but I have no idea what each sound file sounds like. Is there someplace in WindowsXP where I have the opportunity to test these sounds? If not, is there software (preferably freeware) I can install that would let me do this?

    TIA.

Back in Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices, select the sound you want to hear and then click on the button just to the left of the Browse button. That will play the sound you have selected in the top pane.

Thanks very much! That's exactly what I was looking for, but I doubt I would have found it without your help.
