how do I tell if cd is not functioning

    my drawer ejects ok the light flashes ,it wont spin up and in system files where you look up damaged files,it has 2 on the cd rom,stating device drivers or bad cd rom player? Ill try to insert a link to the picture I took of my screen. copy below paste in address above to open.

    Your message is from System Information?

    Go into Device Manager and uninstall/remove the drive and reboot - does this fix the problem?
