I recently upgraded a user from Office 2k3 to Office 2k7 and i found out that the user has lost his customized contact from the Address book. When the address book drop down arrow is clicked, among the listed contacts, there used to be a customized contact on the 2003 verson but now, it no longer exist. I need to restore this contact as it is key to easy distribution of mails to our customers.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Was it one conatct you lost or a distribution list?
If it was the list - I don't think you can import them. You'll have to recreate it.

You should be able to restore it from the backup that was made before the upgrade.

If you're referring to when the To: box is pressed and the address book with a drop down list of contacts appears AND if the folder still shows up under the list of Contacts in the Navigation pane to the left then:

To add a folder to the Address Book drop down list:
Right click on the folder you want – properties – Outlook Address Book tab – check: show this folder as an e-mail address book.

    Close and restart Outlook.
