    If I open a window in I.E. from my favorites and then click on another favorite, it closes the first window. If I open a new tab first than it does not close the first window. How do I set it up so that clicking on the second favorite doesn't close the first window?

    Middle clicking the favorite does not necessarily open it in a new window, but Ctrl left click does. Is there a way to set I.E. so you don't have to hold down the Ctrl key and the second favorite or link for that matter, will open automatically in a new window?

    If you click on a favorite in the Start/Orb menu, it will open in a new window.

    Don't have favorites there you say. Well worry no more. Go to the Start/Orb and right click and choose Properties. Then in the Start Menu tab, click on Customize then scroll down and put a check in Favorites Menu Click Ok/Apply/Ok

    Then you will be able to open up boo koos of them.

    Yes I do have my favorites in the start/orb menu. Weird, now it seems to be working that way. How about clicking on a link in a web page? How do you set it to automatically open a new window? (Besides using the shift key).

    IE Tools->Options->General tab->TAB Settings

    Is where you find all the settings. See the last section... Try New Tab in Current Window

    I think that may be a glitch in IE, when I hit the home button, it opens the 2 home pages without regard to what may be in the next tab.

    To get programs to open in a new window, change Internet Options, Tab settings to Open in a New Window, but that won't work if you want a new tab. 8^}

    I have I.E. tabs set at: New Tab in Current Windows. I will try going through favorites since all three websites I want open at the same time, are in favorites. It just doesn't seem to consistantly open a new tab.

    Thank you for your replies.

    If I right-click on a link, the drop-down menu gives the choice to open in a new tab or in a new window. Is it the same on your system?

    Yes I have that option too. Thanks, I didn't remember that drop down menu.
