I have a computer with multiple User Accounts. I am the Administrator but I don't know anything about Administering.

I'd like be spoon fed all I can about Local stuff, User groups, rights, permissions, administering etc... At the moment, I am clueless.

Thant's why I need to know, in the simplest of terms, the basics as well as some examples of how to do it.

Are there any sources which can teach me in such a simplistic manner?

    I have XP Pro.

    Thanks

Start with the PCs help files. Search for security, user accounts, permissions, using group policy, etc. and you should get a beginning idea.

Post back after you've read and digested the information from there and say what areas, if any, are still muddy to you and someone here can take a shot at giving a basic explanation that will help you out.

There may be a "xp groups & security for dummies" sort of book available but I don't know of one and wouldn't recommend unless I'd read it anyway.
