I haven't done it yet. I heard you can only have it on so many computers, and I think this would be #3. I am not sure. Will all my songs come up in the new iTunes? My iPod is not big enough to handle my whole library. Can I move the music files via a usb drive? Or by putting some on my iPod multi times?

    Thanks :)

iTunes purchases can be used on up to five authorized computers.

    * Before transferring, be sure to transfer any purchased items on the iPod to iTunes on the old computer.

    * If a USB drive is available, copy your entire iTunes folder from the old computer onto the USB drive.

    * In iTunes on the new computer select the Edit menu and choose Peferences. Then click the Advanced tab and place checks in the boxes to Keep the iTunes folder organized and Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library.

    * Plug the USB drive into the new computer. In iTunes on the new computer, select the File menu and choose Add Folder to Library. Browse to the iTunes folder on the USB drive.

    * If decommissioning the old computer, be sure to "deauthorize" it by selecting the Store menu and choosing Deauthorize.

Note: This transfers the music and other media files. Additional data such as playlists does not get transferred.

Yes you're on the right track. To verify the location, in iTunes on the old computer select the Edit menu then click Preferences then select the Advanced tab. This will display the location.

I recommend copying the entire iTunes folder onto the USB drive to ensure you get all media files such as podcasts, videos, purchased aps, etc. For 22 GB it may take an hour or more depending on your computer.

I believe iTunes on the new computer will find the music within the main iTunes folder.
