You know, when you start typing "www.m..." You get a list of stuff starting with M. How do I turn this OFF. It's REALLY annoying!

    Hi Lee,

    So, you want "autocomplete" disabled!?!

    With IE6 open:
    1) Click "Tools" on the menu bar and select "Internet Options ".
    2) On the "General" tab, click "Clear History ". Then set "Days to keep pages in history" to 0.
    3) On the "Content" tab, click "AutoComplete ". UNcheck "Web addresses" and/or anything else you don't want to use. You may also want to "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords" at this time.
    4) Click "OK" to close that window.
    5) On the "Internet Options" window, click "Apply" then "OK" to close it.
    6) Close and re-open Internet Explorer.

    Hope this helps....

That didn't make it drop down, but now it finishes it for me.

like I type "www.s" and then in blue it says "ony.com "

Know what I mean? I'm tyring to get rid of ALL that.

    Thanks for the help.

Try this in IE click on Tools, then Internet Options, then click the Advanced tab, scrool down through the list and you should find a line "Use Inline Autocomplete for Web Addresses" uncheck this line click apply then ok close IE and restart IE. I think this is what you're looking for.

If everything above does not work and you have cleared your History, you could have a corrupted history file. Post back - there is a way of fixing it from a DOS command.

Well as I said before, that worked and all, but now, when I press "ctrl + enter ", it doesnt add the "www.***.com" for me. Do I have to have autocomplete on? I loved that feature in IE :(
