I give up. my hubby and daughter both have Vista laptops and I am the tech help for both of them.

I need to check if rogue file was installed but I can't find the Documents & Settings\User\Application Data folder. What is the path in Vista?

Also, how can I change the folder view? I want to be able to see the extension of the files.

    Thanks.

Unless you have specified to Show hidden files, folders and drives you won't see it listed. You can still access it without resorting to showing hidden items by opening Windows Explorer, opening your User folder & adding \AppData after your user name in the address bar.

    Thanks to all.

I was able to find it after selecting to show hidden files. However, the usual path C:\Documents & Settings\User\AppData that is available in XP is not available in Vista. Bummer. Vista makes everything so difficult.

I can't select a drive in My Computer and find out how much of the drive is used or available by selecting Properties. Is there an alternate way of doing this?
