Why do you want to delete IE?

What you have found is a trojan. I presume it was your Antivirus that detected it. Allow it to quarantine or delete the file.

    Trojan

if I decide to quarantine the file... it will still remain in my computer... will it still effect my computer...

right now I have noticed that all my programs are running very slow,, they take alot of time to load up. Could the irus be causing this?

    thanx

The slowdown you're experiencing could very well be due to the trojan's activity in the background.

Once your anti-virus has quarantined the trojan, it cannot affect your computer...hence the term "quarantined. "

Most AV programs wil allow you to delete quarantined items...but how that's done differs with each program.

Also, the "Explorer" referred to in the path "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM 32\Explorer" isn't Internet Explorer, it's Windows Explorer....two different things.

    Miz:

The file in \System32 IS the trojan file. The "real" Explorer lives in \Winnt

    This could be the culprit.
