How Do I Deleate Yahoo Messenger

Hi Can Anyone Help Pls
I Downloaded Yahoo Messenger And Know I Cant Remove It From My Add And Remove Folder, Can Anyone Help Me How To Do This .

I recently had the same problem and looked all over creation for the very same procedure and had no luck with one exception and those instructions were to look for the pencil on the tool bar I believe it was and right click on it and on the short menu that should pop up will be something to do with the account. Unfortunately in my case I had removed it first from the computer (Windows 98) and that left me with no way to try the steps I found to you.
Hopefully you will have better luck...

Look in C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger, double click Unwise.Exe. This will should work as long as the Install.Log file is still there.

I hope my suggestion did not add confusion. My information was for removing yourself from their account records if you were paying for Yahoo. My friend is getting billed and on the billing statement (from their debit account) there is no phone number to call. According to the bank they would have to cancel that account and re-open a new one in order to stop it. In regards to removing it from the Add/Remove, my suggestion is not exactly for doing that.For that I apologize but for those who had or are having the same problem as I, your assistance will still be greatly appreciated...

 

The uninstall for yahoo messenger will leave a lot of leftovers. You need to manually delete any files or folders.

To remove the item from the add and remove programs menu.. Open the registry editor, then goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstalland delete the entry for yahoo messenger.


I have no idea why there's a space in the word Current, but it comes back when I try to edit this post.
