How do I configure outlook for default?

    I bought a PDA (Palm IIIe) With Palm Desktop Organizer Software. I want to configure this so it syncronizes with Outlook, since I use Outlook for my date book and contacts. How do I configure Outlook for my default mail, and configure the PDA to synchronize with Outlook? The little icon for a PDA does not appear in Outlook. I have Microsoft Office 2000 Outlook and Windows XP Home Edition on my computer.
