how do get DSL working on a windows 98-based PC

    I have no idea how. WinXP is so much easier :p. it just goes automatically. i've tried everything. i dunno. Thanks!

    i agree you get spoiled
    two options - either a install disk from your isp or get a router
    the router will hook you up and then just connect your computer to the router

    so no way to connect directly with a DSL modem?

    yes there is a way to connect to a dsl modem
    your internet service provider will have an install disc
    It might even be in the kit you received when you signed up for dsl
    If you have access to an internet connected computer you may be able to download it and burn a cd
