I just purchased a webcam which loaded up fine. Apparently, in order to use it for live video feed while talking on a landline phone, I need another service of some kind, MSM, Yahoo-Messenger etc.

Assuming that is correct, what's the best/cheapest way to get this service up and running?

Also, how can I see/test the picture that my camera is taking?

I'm using XP-Home, DSL and Outlook Express and no other communication sw.

The person you want to talk to must be using the same software as you. Thus, find out what software the people you want to talk to are using, Have a look at Skype:

    TonyT,

Thanks for the reply. I was able to sign up with free Yahoo Messenger and see my video so at least now I know how it works. Now I just need to get other family members to do the same.
