There is a pop-up window that appears every 10 minutes or so advising you to reboot after installing an update (eg a MS update). I've heard there is a way to change the delay time to something longer (eg 1 hour) for XP-Professional but I need to know if this can be done for XP-Home?

Can't help you there, but curious as to why you don't simply reboot after installing the update?

    Hello rob,

Or why not do an update when it convenient to do so?

Set up AU to either "download updates but let me choose when to update" or "notify me but don't automatically download and update ".

And do updates perhaps one day at a time :)

    Regards - Charles
