Assuming I have just entered a new topic and there are no replies yet, is that possible?

I think only staff (mods) or admin can do so robls99.

Best I can offer is to edit the post with "please remove ", if it's an issue.

But, if it's a sincere question you should let it run it's course (marking resolved with a solution) so others can benefit.

    EDIT: See PeteC's answer

I should have read the FAQ myself Pete

In another board I frequent it's not possible for a normal user to delete the first post in a thread (they can edit it though) even if he posted it.

    Apologies for the misinformation robls

No, only Staff members can delete posts or threads.

Anyway, if you want to 'withdraw' your question, you should just reply to your own post & let people know (presumably with the answer/solution you found).

ok, thanks but I still think it would be nice if you could just edit the title for typos etc.

You can edit the title up to 24 hours after entering it.

    Ari,

I tried it. To edit the title, you apparently have to click Edit twice. Once to get access to the message field and a second time to access the title field.

Assuming I am correct, I wonder how many people can figure that out?
