Registry expert needed I think! Running Vista Home Premium 32.
My default browser is Firefox - or should be. I have made FF the default. In Default Progs I have FF selected as default browser and access denied to IE. In Associated File Types I have changed all IE entries to FF.
When I click on a link in an e-mail it is still always IE which opens, what can I do to shut IE down?

You can tell Explorerto have the tools option or you can go to Control Panel for the folder options;)

Thanks for the pointer Steve, my Explorer now has a tools tab, but 'Folder Options' does not have a 'File Types' tab as used in the procedure that Pete C posted.
This problem only started recently, I have done a System Restore back as far as I could, with no improvement, and I have de-installed the update 943302, again with no improvement.
I have found no way in Vista to roll back to IE 6 as you could in XP.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

.You cannot as IE 6 is not included in Vista.

I'm not sufficiently familiar with Vista to answer your point about File Types. but try right clicking on an email link and see if there is the option - Open With or similar.

Could try asking in the Mozilla forum.
