I have Ad-Aware SE and Spybot S&D, both can't seem to get rid of it?

I can find the files when I do a search of the hard drive, can I just delete them there or do I have to go into the registry to do this?

    Running Win98SE.

    thanks!!!

Vx2 /Ceres.dll - can be a real bear to get rid of and the specifics will depend on which version you happened to get hit with.

Get a copy of the latest version of Hijackthis (quicklinks in my signature), unzip it to a folder of its own (so NOT the desktop and NOT any sort of temp folder and NOT run from the zip file).

Use MSConfig to make sure you have all your loaded stuff running at startup so we get complete look.

Reboot after that and then run Hijackthis using the scan and create a log button then post the log file here. Please don't take any action based on the HJT results until someone advises you.

Quite alright to post your log, but please create a new thread of your own to do so. ;)
