    Hi,

When I use a monochrome laser printer to print a Web page, I want it to print the text as black on a white background. But I get various shades of gray from text that is not black. Is there a setting that I can change so that this will happen? I do not care if any graphics on the page are not properly rendered.

    Thank You

It will depend on your printer driver options. For example, I can go into my printer's options and enable an option called "All Colors to Black ".

And one printer I use is an old HPLJ2100. Option with it to "print all text as black ". Same on a couple other HP models. Just right-clicked on the printer and went to Printing Preferences.

    And the answer is ...

    Scott & Newt,

Thank you for your responses. I couldn't find "print in black" in the properties for my Samsung ML1210 printer. But I poked around and found and installed an update from the Samsung site. The update, among other things probably, offered the choice of "print in black. "

Glad you got it worked out. Always nice to get new features when you install an update/upgrade.
