HI, i have a dell inspiron laptop with 1 gig of ram... It is a intel core due 1.8ghz.
My problem is, when i am using photoshop and i try to same a picture sometimes i says i dont have enough ram to save the file... The file size when saved only ends up being around 3-4 mb so wats the go..
At the same time the only other programs running are firefox and windows explorer...
I also have 71 processes running which i am trying to get down if that helps...
    Thanks....

May programs can spit out this message...Usually a reboot wioll make it go away.

A "Large" number of files in this folder can also cause the message:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Temp

Clearing out the files might help.

    ..

yeah i knew restarting will fix the problem but thats a problem since you can save the file to restart... i cleared out that folder except for two items which where being used by another program apparently..
i wouldn't expect that error with 1 gig of ram... is it normal.. im thinking about upgrading anyway.. is that the way to go..

    THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

Check your swap file (virtual memory) settings.

I suspect your problem arises from the behaviour you posted in your other thread ......

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=69165

Solve that problem first - you have far too many processes running and have been offered good advice.

As far as Photoshop is concerned - which version? - as you presumably have a single hard drive you should set a fixed size Pagefile equal to 1.5x times the installed RAM.

With a fixed size Pagefile the Adobe Scratch disk is not competing for the same disk space as a variable Pagefile.
