I have been using Mozy remote backup to protect my files. I just bought a new USB stick and want Mozy to back it up as well. However, Mozy does not detect the USB stick. I checked on Mozy's site and found:

Windows considers my USB stick "removable" and thus Mozy will not back it up. How can I make Windows Vista consider the USB stick "Fixed" instead of "Removable "?

    Thanks!

I have two USB sticks - one is new and Windows Vista sees it - as I would expect - as a removable drive. The other one - a couple of years old - is seen by Vista as a fixed drive! This is a 1GB Crucial Gizmo stick

Although it is 1GB in size there must be a hidden partition on it - which I can't see as according to "Computer" there is 517 MB of space used - as far as I am concerned the drive is empty!

I have no idea why or how the stick is doing this.

    Regards

    Richard
