I recently changed the calendar in my system tray to show, for instance, "Tue 31 Mar" as it does today.

I noticed when poking around Explorer, that it mimics the day/date format that I gave the calendar in the system tray. A change in the system tray calendar is reflected when I see when I modified or saved a file onto my computer. You can see in the screen shot that the two red arrows are pointing to the same format.

Now my question--I don't need to know what year it is when I look at the calendar/clock in my system tray, but I very well might want to know what year I modified or installed a file. Is there any way to change the format of the date format the Explorer gives me, to make it different from the calendar in the system tray? Explorer.png

No. I know how to change the date in the system tray. I already have. My problem is that the Explorer file attributes for the contents of each folder (see the upper red arrow) changed as well--at least, for the time the file was modified/saved. I don't want the date info in Explorer to mimic the same calendar style as the calendar in teh system tray.
