how can i delete i. e.

i can no longer open internet explorer. i tried to delete it and then install it again, but when i open the new file i downloaded it tells me i can't install due to new version of i.e. on my computer.
i went to the add/remove but it doesn't list i.e. there.
and if i use FIND, it doesn't list it either?
how can i totally get rid of it so i can start with a new install.
i am using win 98.

 

You may want to try IERadicator . I have heard pros and cons about it but haven't tried it myself. It seems like you're in the position of justifying a stab at it.

thanks, i was able to delete it,
but i am still having the same problem
i.e. opens, but after a few seconds the screen just stays blank
then the only way to close it is with the ctrl alt del buttons
