Hotmail crashes when hitting 'reply'

My dad sent me an email saying that his browser crashes when he hits the reply button in Hotmail.

I think he's using IE.

 

Is he running Hotmail on the web, or Outlook Express? What operating system? When you say crash, what exactly happens? Closes, error messages?

 

He's using Windows ME and accesses Hotmail through the web with IE (he doesn't know what version, but it's two years old).

He says the 'Reply' button is working now but usually causes this error message:

1explore has caused an error in mshtmled.dll

lexplore will now close.

 

Looks like he needs to let the entire page load before he hits the reply button. Take a look here.. Microsoft
