Windows Vista Hotfix Problem

    When I try to install "Hotfix for Windows (KB940199)" on my 32-bit Vista Desktop, it fails. And I kinda need "Hotfix" to correct a USB problem I have.

    So I downloaded and Update for Vista (KB940199) and it required Hotfix which failed. Can anybody possibly help me?

    Are you running Vista Basic? If so it's not an applicable OS according to MS.

    From the KB article -

    • Windows Vista Enterprise
    • Windows Vista Home Premium
    • Windows Vista Ultimate
    • Windows Vista Business
