My buddy has a Linksys wireless router (WRT54G) he uses with a couple PCs. Now he's getting married and his fiance has a Mac notebook. So - he wants to set her up so she can use her notebook to connect to the wireless network.

Being that he knows little about computers, he's asked me to help. The trick is that I know little of Mac networking.

    My question is twofold:

    1. What kind of hardware does one use to connect a Mac notebook to a wireless network? What do such notebooks use? On PCs it's a PCMCIA card.

    2. I would like either a link or a document to explain the configuration settings for both the router and the Mac. I don't need a walkthru - just information on the settings I might need to know.

    Thanks!
