What's your default page right now? Have you checked for viruses/spywares ?

    Hello vincentjbl,

Are you running MS AS? Seems likely since the setting is MSN :) If so, that's what's not letting you change the home page setting.

Tools > Browser Restore > right pane > change restores to new url.

    Regards - Charles

hmm, that's wierd. I think that I have had this problem once before, but it was so long ago I don't remember what I did to fix it.

    I can suggest this though...
    try it all over again.

go to 'tools'>internet options and change the home page address.
click ok and then log out before opening any pages.

log back in and see if the change took.

    Hi vincent,

    MS AS is Microsoft Anti-Spyware.

Lets try again :) - are you running Spybot Search&Destroy?

    If so:

In the upper left corner > Mode > Advanced (if not turned on already) > in the panel below > Tools > Ie Tweaks > Start page > untick "Lock IE Start page setting against user changes (current user) "

    Regards - Charles

Thanks vincent for posting back with the solution.

I should have asked what security software you were running  and asked you to look at the settings in it. I didn't think it was malware that was the problem - malware wouldn't direct you to MSN.

    Regards - Charles
