    Hello fellow WBBSers,

This crazy site keeps coming up as my home page ...I have changed my startup in the registry and I have changed it through the browser itself.
It keeps coming back...Even after I removed it from the registry and searched and could not find it. This is what it looks like:

    http://À@t»/qæbñqbSô/YME0$[x

    Thanks for your help.

    JJ

    Spyware

 have you ran your spyware program to determin if you have a homepage hijacker ? Sometimes when you download and install software or not ---just from cookies that have a malicious active x program with them ---they can install whats called a hijacker . This changes your home page settings . I would reccommend spybot if you don't have one . Also ---you said you have changed it in your browser . Does this mean that you went. to your internet options in the control panel and set your home page ?? If not ---pull up your browser (on line ) go to the page you wish to be your home page, then go to start, control panel , then click on the internet options icon . That will open up the internet properties window. The first tab is the general tab ----the first line you should see is the home page setting . if you click the use current tab---that should lock your home page ---if it changes after that ---I would think you have a hijacker !!!!

Suggest you download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature, save it to a folder on your hard drive, say C:\HJT - not to the Desktop. Close all browser windows, run HJT and post the log here.
