Home page IE

A friend of mine keeps getting his home page in IE6 changing to www.cool-xxx.net no matter how often this is changed in Internet Options it always reverts back to the offending site a search has been made in the registry and his hard drive but the offending site keeps returning after re-booting the machine.

It is a **** site with he assures me he has never visited?

Spyware software (AD-Aware) has been run on the sytem but did not find anything.

If any body has any suggestions as to how this can be removed I will pass the information on.

Try this first; hopefully you want have to clean out any "Hosts" files:

From Tools (at top of browser) select Internet options, then Programs tab. Select "reset web settings ".
