    dial-up or broadband (cable/dsl)?

How are the two PCs connected for networking now?

Any other networking equipment other than a modem and whatever connects the two PCs?

    Hi newt

    I`m running 2 3Com Etherlink XL 10/100 NIC`s (3C905-TX) with a crossover cable between the 2.

I have ADSL broadband internet access.

The network is working perfectly fine with the exception of the "client" PC not being able to connect to the net

ICS will do it for sure. But will require a second NIC in the PC that acts as the server.

You might do as well or better to get a router/switch and plug modem and PCs all into it. Costs a little more than only getting a 2nd NIC would but lots less hassle IMO.

This Page has links to get a 4 port device for under $50. I use LinkSys. Have heard the DLink is also good but no first hand with it.

You would also need a couple of straight (not cross-over) cables to hook the PCs to the switch. Crossover is probably what you'd need to the modem.
