It's been a while since I set up my home network so I probably just forgot one of the settings or something...

Anyways, I just finished installing Windows XP Pro x64 edition on my desktop, everything works great except I can't connect to my home network. It says it's in the right workgroup(let's use MSHOME as an example) but it doesn't find any of the other computers on my network...

I can ping my other computers and connect to the internet through it so why won't my home network allow this computer into the workgroup?

    Seems like a firewall issue.

Check if you have any firewall installed on this computer & enable NetBIOS (or LAN) in the firewall. This should be it.
