    G'Day All,

We are currently in the process of migrating our users from an NT Server/Workstation to a Windows Server 2003/XP Pro environment.

In the process we have set up a new domain specifically for the 2003/XP Environment which involved copying users across but applying the new NTFS & share permissions.

One persistent problem that keeps popping up with some users is that their home drive (F:\) is not mapping. Share & NTFS permssions check out OK and other user settings look OK as well. The only fix for this problem thus far seems to be to re-create the user account...something of a pain.

I should point out our users drive mappings are applied via a login script and it not happening to all users, just a "lucky" few.

Has anyone had any experience with this problem before?

    Thanks....Oz

    Tony,

Thanks for your tip. I checked out the commands used in our login script and they are all comptiable with XP. As this is only happening on selected users and the problem is fixed when you re-create the account I'm thinking somwhere along the line the user account has become corrupted.

    Cheers...Oz
