Over the last several days while using my home desktop, I have noticed an increasing number of letters appearing with a green tint - kind of like a shadow effect, to the side of the letter.

Something is apparently unraveling with the video features of the computer. Should I be investigating the video card, or the monitor?

Uninstall your video card and then reboot the PC and let windows pick it up and install it again and see if that helps. Or go to the manufacture of the video card and check for updates.

Thank you. I'll start along the suggested path.

I will also suggest uninstalling the video card.

Have you tried your Monitor connected to your laptop?
