Yes have done EVERYTHING, even did an inline upgrade of Windows XP. There was were spyware programs on my computer, but I removed what I knew. The problem is that when on IE I keep getting page cannot be displayed. I had spyware, 180 assistant was one but that has been removed, but Nortons keeps coming finding threats that it cannot remove. I also did reinstall of IE. Thing is this computer is only THREE DAYS OLD but I evidently got hit bad before I could even get any protection downloaded from the internet.

 

Other than fixing the R1's and R0's below that you DON'T want (in green) for your homepage, and the other few entries, you have some optional startups that could be fixed.

The rest of your log is clean. What has Norton been finding?

Do you have Spybot Version 1.3? If not, download it from my signature and install. Allow it to load SD Helper. Open it up and click mode on the toolbar, then advanced mode. Click immunize in the left pane, then immunize again, this time from above with the green + beside it. Click the link below that for SpywareBlaster, download, install and update. Check for updates weekly.
Then download and install IESpyad.

That will give you an added layer of protection against unwanted parasites.
