Hijack this included [HELP]

This is my first time messing with this stuff. Can anyone tell me if there is something on here that is causing popups? I downloaded and ran ad-aware and spybot.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
(version 1.02a )

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the entire contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Once posted do not restart your pc untill suggested

Note to others, do not use this tool without assistance, the infection is always slightly differant.

Ok I am working on the stuff you told me.

I have downloaded L2mfix but there is no l2mfix.exe. I double clicked the l2mfix and followed the prompts and another l2mfix folder is on the destop under the original l2mfix.

There is no l2mfix.bat file in either folder so I have not done anything else.

 

Ok I did all of the above.
I am still getting popups and there is still a **** search toolbar that hides behind my clock.

Run Hiajckthis Hit config > mics tools > backups and highlight these one at a time and choose restore.

ok I highlighted those two and restored them and am restarting the computer.

Open the L2mfix folder, If you do not see a l2mfix.bat you dont have hidden extensions set to be shown , do this please
Reconfigure Windows XP to show hidden files/extension's:
Open any folder
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading select "Show hidden files and folders ".
Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option.
Click Apply to confirm. Click OK.

Now find and run the L2mfix.Bat and choose option 1 , post that report back here.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
Note to others, do not use this tool without assistance, the infection is always slightly differant.

Yes uninstall Kaspersky reboot and re-enable Norton. I suggest you look for a better av program, even those that are free seam a little better, Nortons a good program its just that since its so popular/common all the nasties know how to get around it.

Ok once that's done download this attachment, inside is a batch file (bat) run it and post the text that will open please.

I will be back probaly in 8-10 hours if not sooner, meanwhile when you restart your PC disregard any startup errors message like a file cannot be found.we will address that next.
