Hello. I've been trying to trace and fix issues with my new pc for almost a month now and still got a few left.

The first one is that whenever i use LCDHost software wdf01000.sys driver starts going over 150-500ms latency and produces huge lag spikes, as well as sound stuttering.

I've been wondering what exactly does this driver do and this could be happening?

Secondly i've got two errors in my event viewer which i am unable to fix myself.

The server {3EEF301F-B596-4C0B-BD92-013BEAFCE793} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

The server {9AA46009-3CE0-458A-A354-715610A075E6} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

Both are dcom 10010 errors and one is related to 3EEF301F-B596-4C0B-BD92-013BEAFCE793 (something called "desktop undo manager ") and the second one 9AA46009-3CE0-458A-A354-715610A075E6 (something called "sync integration manager ").

The solutions over the internet recommend changing permissions in registry which i did and it did not help.

Hi Ver, Welcome to WindowsBBS. :) Looks like you're a gamer. I found this reference to LogiTech setpoint

The driver (wdf01000.sys driver) is a Windows driver and it's referred to in the LogiTech Forums where problems are noted.
I'm not a gamer so I hope this link helps. Neil.

Also found this: What is wdf01000.sys

Well i don't use setpoint and wdf01000 is definitely a system's driver. Deleting it would prevent me from booting up.

Is this what you are using:
    Neil.
P.S. Please take the time to fill out System Details under UserCP. Are you running an Asus m/b with A1 Suite?

    I've filled my system specs.

    Yes i am using LCDHost.

Im not entirely sure yet but it appears that the issue was either related to Asus AISuite 3 program and AICharger Plus USB drivers or to ASMedia USB 3.1 controller and ASMedia storage controller.

I've uninstalled AISuite 3 along with 2 additional USB drivers it provided and switched off ASMedia usb 3.1 controller and ASmedia storage controller in bios and the pc seems to be working fine now, i've got no latency issues.

I've tried switching Asmedia controllers back just now and my pc crashed twice 11 minutes apart (learned from event viewer) for no apparent reason while i was away without producing any minidumps, then some game crashed without any reason or error as well. I've switched them back off and everything seems fine again.

I've also uninstalled realtek audio drivers and installed generic windows driver just in case.

My theory is that the issue was related to everything above - mouse, keyboard, logitech software, lcdhost, aida64 and wdf01000.sys driver via USB controllers and drivers.

Ill post again if my pc starts crashing or i get latency.

Hi Ver, Please follow the instructions lj50 Posted for you. You need to scroll to the bottom of the page to SAVE the info and Display it.
I have an Asus m/b and my recommendation is to only install the software you need from the Asus DVD as I noted from Googling that problems can arise from A1Suite. Neil.

P.S. If you consider this Thread as Resolved - you can mark from your first Post - under Thread Tools. Thanks.

Right. I've selected to display my system specs now.

As for the software - i've only installed essential drivers and some of the software from Asus dvd. I didn't expect AISuite 3 to be as bad as their previous releases. Ill mark this thread as solved tomorrow unless i get any more issues. Im still testing whether its actually fixed or not.

Yes, your System Details show OK. You show overclocked CPU in your System Details. When diagnosing problems it pays to test everything at Default Values, if all is OK, then try your abnormal settings. Neil.

I did not overclock my CPU. It runs at 4000 Ghz natively and goes up to 4200 in turbo mode which is a feature by default on those CPU's.

I did select second XMP profile for my RAM though. But it didn't make any difference.
